Seoul {Day 2 & 3}

We started our second day in Seoul by riding the cable car up Namsan Mountain.  We thought we would just see some panoramic views of the city and romp around a bit.  But when we got up there, we found that almost all the railings along the paths were covered in locks, much like the Pont de l'Archeveche in Paris. But unlike many cities that are cutting off the locks, Seoul is encouraging them!  You can buy locks at the top of the mountain (and they come with a marker so you can write your names and a message on the lock).  It was so beautiful, so much color and vibrancy.  And it was fun to try and read the locks, most of them were in others languages - even though we couldn't read them, we knew they were about loving one another.

Love these two (and that drool coming out of her mouth!)

Views from the top:

Anytime I'm somewhere that has a lululemon, I always have to go!  The lululemon store was on the opposite side of town where we were staying, so on our way down we checked out Seoul Forest.  It was a beautiful park with lots of walking trails and a playground.  The best part was when we stumbled upon a bunch of bunnies!  Our animal loving girl was in heaven and wanted to get in there with them and pet them all!

On our last day, we had some time before our flight so we decided to check out Changdeokgung Palace.  Again, the architecture and details were so beautiful.

But the highlight of this day (really the whole trip!), was the attention Nora got while we were exploring this palace.  There were lots of students visiting the palace that day and they completely lost it when they saw Nora.  It was the best watching them "ooohhh" and "aaahhh" over her.  She got pretty shy, but she did give them waves and blow kisses.  It was really sweet to see how loved she is (it's going to be a shock to her when we go back to the US and no one gives her attention like she gets here)!

And before we left, we had to take one more stroll along Cheonggyecheon.  Seoul, you were so good to us!  Beautiful city, friendly people, great memories!
